Terms of Use

1. Accepting these terms

By downloading or using Choreby you agree to these terms with AVR Training LLC. If you do not agree, do not use the app. If you are using Choreby with your children, you confirm you are their parent or legal guardian, or otherwise authorised to set up chores and rewards for them.

2. What Choreby is

Choreby is a household task and reward tracker for families. It helps you assign chores, award points you call gems, and let your children exchange those gems for rewards you define yourself.

Choreby is not a bank, a payment processor, a wallet or a financial product. Gems have no cash value, cannot be redeemed with us, cannot be transferred between families and cannot be purchased. If you choose to give your child real money in exchange for gems, that is an arrangement between you and your child and we are not part of it.

Choreby is also not medical, psychological, educational or parenting advice. The research we cite on this site describes published findings; it is not a promise about your specific child.

3. Free use, subscriptions, trials and renewal

What is free

One player on one device is free permanently, with no account and no time limit. That includes quests, gems, XP, streaks, the monster in both care modes, every room item and badge, the reward shop, the Parent Zone and approvals on that device. We do not gate the game itself.

What a subscription adds

Paid plans add seats and Family Sync: additional kids, parent players, and syncing so that your own phone acts as the Family Hub and can approve work remotely. Plans differ from each other only in seat count.

• Choreby Solo: 1 player · Family Sync. $2.99 per month or $19.99 per year.
• Choreby Family: Up to 4 players. $4.99 per month or $34.99 per year.

Free trial

Every paid plan includes a two-week free trial. The trial begins when you start it and converts into a paid subscription automatically at the end of the fourteen days unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. One trial per Apple ID; Apple determines trial eligibility.

If a trial or subscription ends, nothing is deleted. Your first player continues playing on that device for free. The paid features — extra kids, parent players and Family Sync — pause until you subscribe again.

Renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID is charged at confirmation of purchase and again on each renewal.

Cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the App Store app under your account. Cancelling stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

Upgrading from Solo to Family

If you are on Choreby Solo and add a second child, Choreby will offer the Choreby Family upgrade. Apple handles the change and pro-rates the unused portion of your current term against the new one, so you are not charged twice for the same period. The exact credit is calculated by Apple, not by us.

Price changes

We may change prices for future periods. Apple will notify you and, where required, ask you to consent before a higher price takes effect on a renewal. A price change never applies retroactively to a period you have already paid for.

Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple, so all refunds are handled by Apple under their policies. We cannot issue refunds directly. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in Choreby genuinely failed you, email support@choreby.com and we will happily back up your case with Apple.

4. Your data, and Family Sync

With Family Sync off, Choreby stores your family's data on your device rather than on our servers. You own it and control it, and we cannot recover it for you — if you lose or wipe the device without an Apple backup, it is gone.

With Family Sync on, you create a parent account and your household's game data is stored under it so your devices stay in step. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Children never hold accounts. You can turn sync off or delete the account at any time, which removes the household record.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Reverse engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where that restriction is prohibited by law.
• Use Choreby to harass, coerce, or punish a child in a way that a reasonable person would consider abusive.
• Create an account on behalf of a child, or let a child create one. Parent accounts are for adults.
• Resell, sublicense or commercially redistribute the app or your subscription.
• Interfere with the app's operation or attempt to bypass the subscription.

6. Licence

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Choreby on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. We keep all rights, title and interest in the app, its artwork, its characters and the Choreby name.

7. Availability

We aim to keep Choreby working on current iOS versions but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Features may change, and a feature you like today may be modified or removed in a later version. If we ever discontinue Choreby entirely, we will say so in advance and stop charging subscriptions.

8. Disclaimers

Choreby is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties, so parts of this may not apply to you.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, AVR Training LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost data, arising out of your use of Choreby. Our total liability for any claim relating to Choreby is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud.

10. Apple

These terms are between you and AVR Training LLC, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Choreby or its content and has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you. If Choreby fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; to the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no other warranty obligation with respect to the app.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change is material we will note it in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Continuing to use Choreby after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Nothing here removes consumer-protection rights you have under the mandatory law of the country you live in.
